Seeking Global Collaboration for Conference Proposal
I am interested in submitting a proposal for E-Learn 2008, but would love to set up a global collaboration. I will be writing on the topic of Viral Professional Development, in terms of my internal faculty network. I thought we could pull together others who are doing interesting PD and submit a proposal for the Symposia Presentation Type.
I would be happy to lead and write the proposal, based on abstracts, but will need a little help gathering the literature. Each participant will need to write their own paper, to be submitted after acceptance. I think if we did a general theme of successful PD programs and linked that to how we use our external networks to collaborate, we’ve got a great topic. A global collaboration, would make it even more spectacular. Please let me know if you, or anyone you know may be interested. Thanks!

Hello again. I’m intrigued. If you think it’d be a fit. Let’s discuss.

Jen,
This would be a good session for the Pacific NW Higher
Education conference, April 30 - May 2.
The theme is “Connectivism and Communities”.

Noreen, I’m speaking at WEC in Walla Walla during that. I don’t know why they are scheduled at the same time!

Hi Jen, definitely interested. I’m in the process of developing an eLearning CoP at my institution in NZ this year and think that VPD is a part of that. Now to get my institution to pay for a trip to North America….

Joyce, maybe you could be a virtual panelist!

uhm, yes… but I’d rather come on over and join in the e-learn fun!
Would you like us to put together an abstract of a page or so with bibliography, so you can pull from that for the proposal? By when would you like this?
